About us

Born from the radiant energy of the sun, Belle Solaire celebrates timeless elegance and the quiet strength within every woman. Our name — “Beautiful Sun” — reflects the light that inspires, uplifts, and accompanies us through each day.

At Belle Solaire, we believe style is more than what you wear — it’s how you move through the world. Our collections bring together refined jewelry crafted from recycled sterling silver and 18k gold vermeil, plant-based cellulose acetate hair accessories, and handcrafted sunglasses made in Italy. Each piece is designed to highlight your individuality and add a touch of effortless beauty to everyday moments.

Sustainability and quality are at the heart of what we do. We work with thoughtfully sourced materials, responsible partners, and careful production in small batches. The result: pieces that feel good, look beautiful, and are made to last — without compromise.

Our mission is to create meaningful accessories for those who appreciate elegance, value craftsmanship, and enjoy expressing themselves through timeless design.

Just as the sun brightens each day, Belle Solaire aims to inspire, uplift, and accompany women with thoughtfully crafted pieces.

Shine with Belle Solaire. Show your colors. Live beautifully.

Michèle Singer - Founder

My connection to jewelry and accessories began early. As a child, I loved drawing and working with my hands, and as a teenager I began creating my own jewelry, experimenting with color, shape, and material. This early fascination with aesthetics and craftsmanship naturally led me to focus on fine arts and art history during high school.

I later studied art history, cultural studies, and social sciences, where my interest deepened in how different cultures express identity and meaning through jewelry. Adornment, for me, was never just decoration — it has always been a form of personal expression.

After university, I built a career in marketing and communications, working across different industries and learning how brands are shaped through clarity, storytelling, and consistency. Yet despite this professional path, the desire to return to hands-on creation never faded. Over time, it became clear that I wanted to create something tangible — pieces that could be worn, lived with, and loved.

The aesthetic of Belle Solaire is shaped by two worlds. Growing up in Basel, Switzerland, I developed an appreciation for timeless design and enduring quality. My Jamaican heritage, on the other hand, nurtured a love for color, warmth, and expressive individuality. These influences come together in jewelry and accessories that feel refined yet joyful, balanced yet full of character.

Design and craftsmanship are also deeply rooted in my family history — from a grandfather who worked as a watchmaker and jeweler in Jamaica, to a great-aunt in haute couture, a sister in luxury jewelry, and a grandmother skilled in traditional handcrafts. Surrounded by creativity and an appreciation for well-made objects, creating Belle Solaire felt like a natural continuation of that legacy.

Today, Belle Solaire reflects my belief that jewelry should be timeless, wearable, and personal — pieces designed for everyday life, not just special occasions, allowing each woman to express her style subtly, confidently, and with joy.
